Guest sentiment
A snapshot of what local diners frequently mention about this location.
"Our day was relaxing and fun! The ambient is amazing! You don’t need to pay any extra to use the pool. Besides the pool, they also have a sand court and hammocks. As it was a Wednesday we had the place entirely for ourselves, which was nice! Except for a time when the waitress asked us if we wanted anything else from the kitchen which will close at 5pm (but it was still 3pm). It seemed they wanted us to go home, so we left. During our stay we had some entrees such as French fries, cheese and guacamole. The cheese and guaca were great! The fries were tasting a bit old oil."
"Right in front of the beach. Cheap food great service. Other places would not seat our family unless we stayed at their hotel. No matter. It's all the same beach!"
"We did a shore excursion from the cruise ship, which included sightseeing of flamingos, the best lunch we had during the entire cruise trip, and then playing in the water. Hubby ordered the deviled fish (Mayan spice diablo) and I ordered the butter garlic fish. The first was the catch of the day and was sea bass. Best fish! The rice was divine- the seasoning was perfect and loved the vegetables the dish came with. Everyone was so kind, the atmosphere was relaxing, and you got to choose between the Caribbean Sea or a gorgeous pool. Hammocks, swings, chairs in the sand, and shells as far as the eye could sea. And my only "drink" on the trip was the strawberry daiquiri from here. Never had a daquiri with chamoy on the rim, but it was delicious! DEFINITELY a place we hope to visit again."
"We were there for a lunch break during our cruise excursion. The food and drinks were fabulous and it was nice to have the beach to ourselves. If I ever find myself in the area again, I’ll definitely return."
"Best seafood experience I have had in a long time. All this for 1500 pesos..unbelievable. We happened to be the only ones there. We thought the portions would be smaller so ordered 3 dishes for 2 of us and we ate it all, so good. The staff were attentive and I love that it was quiet, except the sound of the ocean which was magnificent. Will be going back for sure. I live in Celestun and found my new favorite place to take friends and visitors."
"Great food and drink. Beautiful restaurant and hotel with a gorgeous pool and view of the ocean."
"We stopped here after a long beach walk ( end of Jan ‘25).Fantastic setting with the palapa, pool and beach. First a couple of beers for our thirst. Then we ordered garlic buttered lobster and Cordon Bleu. While waiting for our order, we thought a basket of chips and dips would be on the table like most restaurants, but not here ! So while waiting we took a dip in the cool refreshing pool, which was very nice ! Luckily it was not a cruise ship day otherwise this place would be really busy. There were only a few other people there. Food arrived. The lobster was buttery and garlicky. Sold by the kilo. Wife’s 1/2kilo was $600 pesos. Cordon Bleu had lots of Mozz cheese and ham with rice and fries. Speaking espanol is recommended with the friendly servers."
"Outstanding food, feels so authentic still. Went on a Saturday and there were only Mexican families enjoying the food. You know that food is amazing when you only hear Spanish around. Recommend the crab and the Filete de Pescado A la Diabla."
